Celebrations in the streets of Baghdad

Looks as if the initial reaction to coalition forces in Iraq was nothing more than restraint out of fear and uncertainty. It looks as if the Iraqi people are beginning to realize that coalition forces are there to rid the country of a brutal regime they have been forced to live under for 30 years.

Latest news reports say that citizens are taking to the streets of Baghdad and celebrating the arrival of coalition forces. In one section of the city citizens of Baghdad were attempting to tear down a statue of Saddam. And when one reporter asked one Iraqi how he felt about coalition forces he said, "It's safety for me ... they don't hurt anyone," he said. "All the people here is happy -- I see happy."

Looks as if the Iraqis are happy the coalition came and a lot of the initial fear and uncertainty about the coalition forces is gone. The Iraqi people are beginning to understand that the coalition is there to complete the job of removing Saddam and it’s now time to celebrate their freedom from Saddam’s brutal regime.

Yep, as I saw that statue go down and people jump on it, I felt proud to be a part of this country and a country that got rid of one of the most brutal regimes in the world, even in the face of widespread opposition.

Meh, theres a good chance he's dead. If not, I have the feeling he would have put out a video thats believable as recent.

I get the feeling that a lot of the anti-war sentiments stem from a hate of republican conservatives. Bill Clinton launched airstrikes into Iraq several times - and that wasnt the only place. Barely anyone raised a peep. But now theres a republican president acting like a republican president, and sentiments against the US have never been stronger.

Many protests were funded by extreme groups that hate any government or just like to get involved for the fight. You dont think it costs nothing to protest do you???

Yah the majority of Anti-War rallies in America have been proven to be directly linked to Communist orginizations. They aren't really Anti-War, they are just Anti-American.

I mean if you really think about it.. what reason is there to be against this war? None that i can think of...
