Fastest Way To Desktop?
Hello Everyone:
I am running windows 98 SE. I would like to know if there is a way to minimize all open files, so I can go back to my desktop?(Have a clear desktop) I.E. something like Alt + Tab(This switches between files, It does not minize them)?

Should be a "Show Desktop" thing on the quicklaunch bar, called desktop.scf i think. Search around for it, place it wherever, and it will do its thing. There's also a way to do it through code. Once again, search.

BTW, if you make shortcuts to fav applications and put them in your "home" directory (c:\Documents and Settings\Username\), you can just go to start--> run and type the name of the shortcut and it will run the program...
other common programs already have shortcuts registered somewhere ie try start--> run and:
msword
excel
powerpnt
photoshop
illustrator
flash
dreamweaver
freehand (i think!)
math (dos console mathematica)
charmap
calc
winace
and so on...make your own too

How does the windows key interfere with CS? It is nowhere near the arrow keys!
I actually have shortcuts to all of my drives on my desktop (except my floppy, never use that thing anymore), and a couple of commonly used applications (winamp, emacs, etc). On the right of my screen, my quick bar autohides, and had all of the programs I use a bit less then the ones on the desktop. Everything else jsut goes on the start menu. I then just have all desktop icons hidden, so I have a very clean desktop.
