is there an alternative VB for windows
As well as VB for Linux

does anyone know of other VB style IDE compilers that run on windows?
I'd be interested in one.

Envelope is somewhat similar to VB. It is not entirely intuitive, though. At least it is free (& unsupported).

I think you'll find the .Net framework will eventually be completed for Unix systems... and so VB.NET or C# would be a good way to go.
