What's the latest on that suspected chemical plant?

Anyone hear whether they determined if that 100 acre facility in southern Iraq was used to produce chemical weapons?

But it does bring up an interesting point. The inspectors never found it, because it was camouflaged to look like the surrounding terrain.

There have got to be several more like it.

Our government is pretty sure they have em. They come out all the time saying so. That tells me they are putting their reputation on it completely. If we don't find chemicals or bio weapons, Bush will be ridiculed and ran out of office fast along with everyone else supporting the claims. Knowing that they know that, makes me sure the weapons are there. They wouldn't do this on a whim.

Maybe it only produces pesticides, or maybe it's been deserted. And just maybe, the reason the inspectors didn't mention it could be it's not a chemical plant at all, or it's been abandoned, rather than being camouflaged...

After all the inspectors didn't ride the US satellites to pick and choose sites for inspection. A camouflage designed to fool the satellites wouldn't be enough for ground inspections.

    It was camouflaged not dusty!!!!

the weapons inspectors didnt know it was there which shows how useless the whole thing was. Chances are Saddam has hidden them in Baghdad behind his Republican Guard and most loyal soldiers.

Funnily, I searched BBC and CNN websites today with the search string as "chemical plant". In the results, sorted by date with latest articles first, there's not a single report about the suspected "site of interest" the US forces have claimed to have found.

So, the question is, what happened to the chemical plant which the forces had found?

It is not thought to contain any chemical weapons as i heard yesterday but they are still checking it out with a more thorough search.

All agree that it is unlikely that any chemical weapons are there

Obviously you can't trust the Iraqi ministers or the UN inspectors to tell you the truth.

In fact, it's hard to believe anyone except Mr. Bush Jr. And maybe he is lying too
