    Unhappy This is getting bad.

With the soldier who tossed the grenade into the tent to the 12 captured soldiers who were executed to the British Royal Airforce Tornado that was shot down by friendly forces to the helicopter crash.

so that's what? 30 Coalition forces dead in 4 days? And most of those were by pure accident and had nothing to do with the war? I'd say that's not bad at all.

Soldiers die during training all the time, it just never makes the news..this is no different, it's just head line news.

While it may not have any affect over the general outcome of the war, I think it's a big deal when any coalition soldier dies.

Past wars have probably been MUCH worse. This war is one of the best. The difference is that now we have embedded journalists with satellite uplinks, and lots of people with TV and Internet access. So we know about every small thing. There were many more cases of soldiers "going beserk" in Vietnam than there ever will be in this war. But people didnt know about it then.
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

Just make sure you lose fewer soldiers to such accidents than to the Iraqi forces.

Soldiers are worried and making mistakes. It is understandable, its just bad that deaths are being caused by this. Hopefully once they become more experianced they will begin to calm down a bit and the adrenaline will wear off a bit.

So far we have lost more soldiers in accidents than in the war itself.

We have caused much more disruption on the other side and soldiers who are giving up from Iraq are being treated very well. What more can we ask but for Iraqi soldiers to give up and therefore reduce the amount of guns pointing at our soldiers

30 deaths in 4 days sounds bad but it is in fact good. Remember more than half of them are accidents and this shows the skill or our armed forces in the combat area

Just because you have the biggest army doesn't mean the soldiers are any more proficient than other armies.
The Iraqi special republican guard are very good, as are the Israeli military - and probably the same too could be said for the fedayeen - if you can call them an army.

Casualtys are something you are going to take in war, experiance is everthing and many of these advanced units have that experiance.

A lot more guns can OFTEN (not always) be a massive advantage over even the best soldiers. So the mass of troops is a big advantage.

Sounds to me like our troops are doing alot better than that of the current Iraqi troops in combat. Saying that though the Iraqi troops currently in conflict are often drafted against their will hence the large amount of soldiers surrendering

Its only some of the drafted army that's surrendering.
The republican guard and special republican guard and the fedayeen won't.

Yeah, but not all of it. You twisted that statement of yours to sound like most of the Iraqi military is surrendering

Honestly, Jamie, those troops can't make out whether the planes in the air are friends or foes, how do you expect them to interpret white flags?

I think things are going to get much, much worse than they are now.

Iraq has learned it's lessons from the first war. They are going to embed their best troops in the towns and use gorilla tactics to cause as much trouble as possible for the coalition forces.

I wouldn't be suprised if there are hundreds (or even thousdands) of allied casualties by the end of this...

Thier using civilians as human shields and that is going to slow us down for some time. The only way it would get bad for us is for them to do one of the two things:

    1. Use checmial or biological weapons.
    2. Try to draw our forces into an Urban enviroment.

Nice to see the surgical, prescision attacks continuing, with missiles landing in Turkey and Iran.
