When a comma goes missing ....
Analyze this:
Mr Lloyd was married with two children aged 21 and 11 and lived in Buckinghamshire.
Where it should have had a comma after the word "married"
That sentence has been taken out of this article:

Yeah, to be extremely accurate, the sentence might pass, because it uses "with" and not "to", but the comma still would have been better...

That's a very common sentence structure, to say that someone is married with a certain number of children.
Its a proper expression, so the original sentence is okay

Agreed, but still, with a comma in the right place, that sentence becomes perfect.

Bodwad, I started this thread only to discuss a particular sentence. The link posted in the first post is only a guide to the place from where I picked up the sentence. Therefore the discussion of the person whom the sentence refers to is irrelevant here. Note the word "irrelevant", find out its meaning first, and then comment if you are going to label me inhuman, inconsiderate, American basher etc. etc. etc.
In short, if you want to discuss the person in question, please use another thread, no disrespect meant to you or the person.

That's alright, I didn't actually say you had called me an America basher, so treat my post as a general disclaimer of sorts

Honeybee, that sentence is perfectly OK. If you insist on a comma (coz i guess you have this thing with putting your period in cuckoo land), the best you can do is turn the middle part into a clause by inserting 2 commas
Mr Lloyd was married, with two children aged 21 and 11, and lived in Buckinghamshire.

That would be a very perfect sentence. I am happy to see your knowledge of English grammar.
