ActiveX Control Load Problem!!
Okay, here's the issue.. I have an ActiveX control that loads just fine on some machines, but not on others. The control has a certificate from VeriSign, and the control is downloaded via from a webpage on to the clients machine. The control is web based, and works perfectly on hit and miss machines, I was curious as if anyone knew what the issue could be. A stated, authenticode is being used, and the program works, however, on some machines, when the control is called, there is an error, like the control is not downloading. Need help ASAP Thnx

What is the error you're getting ?
Regardless of being signed, maybe the security on the offending machines does not permit the downloading of ActiveX Controls ?
Alternatively, if the ActiveX control requires a control/DLL that is not present in the CAB file and not on the client machine you will get problems.
Peeman.

Best Bar.....

i am getting the similiar issue.
my active control working fine on winme or winxp, but it seems like they won't load in win2000 platform. There is no error message at all, it just started to download, asked to download some objects that don't exist in that machine (Internet transfer control etc), and then nothing happen.
i tried to create another activex control with native one line code, same thing happened, it only load up in winme/winxp but again doesn't show up on win2000.
i am running my visual basic 6.0 in winxp.
any clue? am i setting up something wrong?

I was able to get it working on some of the troubled machines, however, with the machines... However, now I'm getting a similar issue with some NT based machines. It will work on some, but not on others, I have tried adding and removing dependencies, etc. etc.. I feel rather lost at the moment. I would also like to get this thing hammered out.. Oh, btw, I'm using the MSXML3 parser to go through and gather information from an ASP page, etc. etc.. you get the idea.. the issue I'm having is that it downloads, installs, but doesn't load.. no error generated, no error file generated during the installation process, so I'm kinda lost. Arrrggghh
