Peace-Keeping in Iraq: An unwanted task ??
Analyze this:
Mr Blair also addressed the thorny topic of what contribution Britain would make to the security of Iraq once Saddam Hussein was deposed.
The prime minister hinted the UK would not want to become overstretched by long-term peacekeeping duties in Iraq.
"We've got to be careful we do not overstretch ourselves."
Mr Blair said his priority would be getting UK servicemen home quickly.
This is the URL for the complete article:

So, looks like once the war is over, Britain will pull its troops out and maybe leave the cleanup work for the US forces, or ask for a UN peacekeeping force. Not too responsible, is it?

He says not to overstretch British forces.
Nothing is said about abandoning them. stop reading any old crap into these stories.
And stop trying to make people look worse than they are. All evidence stated against Saddam is based on fact. You are changing news articles to benefit yourself.

That means Mr. Tony Blair will decide how long the British troops will be deployed for peace-keeping, and not the situation in Iraq.
I didn't say Iraq was going to be abandoned, so stop putting words in my mouth.
And I think I don't need to make anyone appear worse than he/she is. At least you acknowledge they are bad
Also I am not changing news articles, you can refer to the original article through the URL and verify yourself I have copied and pasted the text as it is, and it's not even out of context. So read and think before you reply.

If Blair was stupid enough to pledge his troops for war, he must be brave enough to meet the peacekeeping requirements. It's not him who decides when and how much to stretch the troops for peacekeeping. He is one of those who started the war, and he must see it through, and take his share in the peace-keeping duties.

calling Blair "stupid" is very childish. If you disagree with someone's opinion, you criticize not call that person stupid.

In the 1991 Gulf War, Britain lost as many soldiers to friendly fire as to Iraqi forces. (as reported by ToI)
I thought he would have learnt his lessons in history well
That explains why the French and the Russians don't wanna fight alongside the US troops.

How many Iraqi soldiers have fallen in contrast, We are 60 miles from the capitol. You cant critisize any of the forces especially when there is a large threat of WMD being fired. Inside or outside the country.
Dont care what you think of Americans, they are Britains Allies. Allies help one another
