Windows XP problem installing (ARC, HAL)
Hi, I have this problem I'm not sure what it means. I have 2 harddrives on my comp. C: and F: on drive C windows 2k is installed. Now I tried installing XP Pro on the other drive. After it finished copying files, computer restarts and give this error: "Did not properly generate ARC names for HAL and system paths." After that it restarts and says that all over, until I choose to boot the win 2k installation.(The one I'm on right now)
Any idea what that means and how can I fix it?
Thanks

Make sure of the compatibiliy of your hardware ! Just insert XP cd within WIN2000 and click check compatibility . If I'm not wrong , it's hardware problem !
