    Question Network Monitor...

    Hey guyz,

It was nice to see this forum after a long christmas break ...but let me come to the point quickly.

I am using Win 2000 Pro and I just got a CABLE internet connection and I want to monitor Internet usage. I mean UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD totals after each day.

If the software could also log the details then its really cool. I would also like to see if the software can monitor the usage on each of the network adapter installed in my PC.

The ultimate thing I am looking for is a freeware.

    Cheers...

Just double click on the network connection and you should get sent&received stats.

You could use the GetTcpStatistics() API.
    There's a sample of it on www.mvps.org/vbnet

Well just slap the code on the page into a form, and modify it to only pull the bits you want ?

Couldn't make it working by some reasons.

Can someone gives me another way rather than program it myself...???

    Cheers.

I'm using Network Cable e Adsl Speed . It speeds up Modem , DSL , ISDN as well as logging TCP , IP , UDP , ICMP etc . It's worth a try !

I would suggest to have Norton Internet Security 2003 . It functions as firewall to keep hackers away from your system since your PC will be online 24 hours and calculates out goings , in coming packets , IPs , and other stuff . It's worth a try !
