Thread: file extensions????

    could anyone tell me what type of files these are and what they do???
    by looking at the extensions???
    filename.swt ????
    filename.vbw ????
    filename.vbz ????
    setup.wse ???? mainly this one !!!

    Go to START => Settings => Folder Options => Click on the tab "File Types" and it will give you all the file extentions on your PC. Then go down to V and just click on a file and on the bottom, it will tell you the name and extention of it!

    BTW I found some! The *.VBW file is called Visual Basic Project Workspace and the *.VBZ file is The Visual Basic Wizard

    Teh setup.wse sounds like a script file for "WISE Installation Builder" or a similar WISE product.

    Its kind of like InstallShield.

    You need the application from WISE to run it. You could look in your installed application list (Control Panel) to see if you have something from WISE loaded.

    You might be able to have a look at it with a text-editor but it wouldn't mean much.

    That is of course if it is a Wise file...
