Where would you look for a job?
I've been searching for a junior/entry-level job for awhile now whith no luck. Anybody have any hints, suggestions.
I normally search dice, monster, careerbuilder, hotjobs, etc., etc.
but knowbody seems to be biting at my resume. I've got three years experience in software support and one year realworld experience in vb development.
I'm well trained with a MCP not MCSD, but I don't have a college degree. could this be the problem?

This thread should be moved as it isn't really a VB question.
Never the less, a lack of a degree is a problem if you are directly competing with candidates who do have a degree...Therefore you need to differentiate yourself from them. Either undercut them in salary or offer to work a month trial period free or something. Your skills are for sale...if nobody is buying it's time to break out the special offers.

thanks MerrionComputin
If this thread does not belong here, Where should a person post a question like this?
Chit-Chat is my best guess, but I don't think it'll be taken seriously there.

I think your post is quite fine here, it gets read and that's the whole point, right? ? ? ?
anyway, i would check online (if you're on the east coast jobcircle.com is pretty good), ask around, do anything that might get word out. I presonally wouldn't offer to work a month for free though. Maybe for lesser pay, or some other deal, but working for free??? Come on, you can't be serious!

You might try a contract agency, too. Here in Redmond there is a company called Volt Computer Services that mostly does contracts with Microsoft. That's how I got my first contract at MS, which eventually turned into a full-time job (woo-hoo!).
Also, check out job fairs - usually there are recruiters there who you can talk to in person and submit a resume to.
