ByeBye T1/T3 - Hello OC128/256
Has anyone (home user or otherwise) actually gone up to OC's yet?
What's the best connection you have? What download speed's do you get?
Regards,
Paul.

An OC is an Optical Carrier... Fibre optics basically! An OC12 is a 622Mbps STM (Synchronous Transport Module) / ATM
Dead quick! Most BIG ISP's use OC12's as the backbone.
Where's the option for cable
I ran out of space! 512, 1024 & 2048 are usually classed as cable anyway!

Paul.

Our backbone is OC-12, but I can't get more than about 27mbit downloads on here (then again that could be the speed test site which is only rated up to 5mbit, heh).

Heh, thanks
It would be a maximum of 100mbit to me anyway (don't have a fast enough card). Besides, how am I going to use that much bandwidth?

1) You could stick in a couple of intel 20/200 meg cards, so get youself 400mbps connection on your network.
2) One word for you - pink
