    Oh my...

Do I even have to go into detail about how messed up the header looks...?

I know... one sec it was ok... then the next.... this.... my first thought was "Uh-oh, here we go again." So much for not changing things........ what was wrong with the way it was?

    I'll go into detail anyways...

The banners are really messed up. The small one is off-center with the VB Wire table, and makes it look bad. The MS ad causes a huge gap after it, the CPU Planet has a small gap. The "Search the forums:" text should be white, or an easier to see color.

When the ad is really big, the navigation buttons just look lost and have a huge space after them.

And the left padding of the whole header is different for each element, which looks bad. The logo and VB Wire news has a little space, the text has a big space, and the navigation buttons have no space.

Really, guys, who designs this stuff? Do they test it first? I hope you're not paying them more than $2.00 an hour...

Yeah there are some funky parts, but I think I like these colors better. Even the VB Wire logo thing at the top isn't bad (other than the things Hobo mentioned). As for nothing changing well I think deep down we all knew that was a lie to begin with.

I saw an mock yesterday of what this design was suppose to look like. The small ad is suppose to be incorporated into the header in the same way it was in the previous look. The mock I saw didn't have a big ad in it; however, because this new design doesn't use as much space at the top of the page (something I was happy to see), I raised the question of what would happen with a big ad. I never saw a mock as to what that would look like.

I'm passing the feedback to the designer and developer implementing this.

Nope. Both VBForums and VBWire are owned by Jupitermedia. By linking the sites together, there should be added synergy for both. If you go to VBWire.com, you'll see that there are two links now added on the left side of the page to VBForums.

I don't then see the point having the VBWire news at the top then if there's a link to the site anyway.

    Well, just my 0.0000000004 cents....

You might want to have a link around the VBWire logo for vbwire.com, and maybe darken the colour of the forum names on the main form.

I though the Header looked better now.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
