    VB.net?? I'll teach you!

    I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET, I hate VB.NET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the third time I really tried to learn vb.net, and the same happens every time. I go back to good old' VB6. Can somebody tell me why we needed vb.net? For me it looks like Microsoft tried to make a more advanced version of VB, but failed brutally, and instead made a less intuitive and much harder to use version. How can I make apps with vb.net when the object "app" doesn't exist and the declaration type string is thrown? No, I hope Microsoft makes a VB 7 version to us other! Have anyone else also heard this rumor?

Just feels quite frustrated right now, and wanted to scream it out. Sorry folks

I don't have anything against vb.net, besides that I would burn it, dig it 80 feet down and nuke it.

If I had time I would have surely joined the open source people- i will someday- but comparing VB6 and VB.NET, I dont agree with you, for sure those working with Microsoft, despite all the rumors behind them have spent lots of time, have used their minds to create something new and better. If you cant learn it, ok, just forget about it. By the way bring a good excuse for shouting at VB.NET not something like "app" object does not exist in vb.net.

    "Application" object exists though

As far as im concered, microsoft made the right choice with VB.NET
I no longer have VB6 installed, and VB6 was my pride and joy.

And I bet you don't have a book on VB.NET huh? Get a book, in no time you will scrap VB6 and move to VB.NET, just like I have

Sounds to me like you need to change your method of study. I picked up VB.NET in about 3-4 days, and will take it over VB6 any day of the week. I'm saying this as a hardcore VB programmer of many years.
