Any risk if I install XP Pro over XP Home?
What may go wrong if I install Win XP Pro over Win XP Home? Is this something which can screw up everything already installed in my computer?
Thanx

I seriously suggest backing up all your data from the partition it's installed in, then when you install XP pro completely reformat that partition (NTFS, of course).
Never try and install Windows on top of itself, it never works.

What does he do if it's an upgrade disc?
Can't understand why you shouldn't upgrade an OS, although a format&clean install is always better! I've never had a problem with XP upgrades... and i order them all the time!
In answer to sbasak's question though...
An awful lot can go wrong with an upgrade... but that goes without saying. I'de do a registry backup first, then backup all your data as parksie said.

Paul.

NT might have changed it, but the last time I tried to upgrade Windows it didn't work too well.
Anyway, doesn't hurt to clean it all out and start again!
