Java for Mozilla
I do have the Java runtime (whatever the **** they call it) for IE. I was under the impression that when I run Mozilla, the same Java runtime would be 'working', which meant that I could immediately access java based chat, etc.
Why must I download the same Java runtime again?

It isn't in your moz/plugins directory.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.

OH yeah, you're right.
So would it be possible for me to just copy over whatever Java Runtime files there are in the IE directory over to the Mozilla plugin directory?
Any idea about this?

Monday Morning Lunatic
Get the JRE from Sun for Mozilla, there's an option somewhere...

Yeah I think maybe you have Microsoft's own implementation of Java which won't work in Mozilla or any other browsers as far as I know. So I think parksie is right - you'll have to download the real Java.

Just go to a java-enabled site, it'll ask you if you want to go to Netscape.com (which is respectible for finding plugins), say yes and get the one for Mozilla/Variants/Unsupported Browsers if there is an option. Then, direct the setup to your Moz/plugins dir.

Done, installed and working.
I was irked by having to download 11MB of crap all over again, that's all.
