Cascade of windows open up in IE
...a.k.a. one ****ED up IE problem.
This is a problem that occurs, completely arbitrarily.
What happens is that I'll close a window, and all of a sudden, lots of IE windows start opening up. One after the other, after the other.
Some sort of an infinite loop, if you will. In the new window, the page I was just viewing starts loading.
How the ****ing hell am I supposed to get rid of this problem? What's happening by the way??

Um, what kind of sites are you viewing?
Disabled Scripting and see if you problem goes away, or switch to Mozilla/Phoenix/Opera....

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Initially, there is no URL in the address bar, but they come on after the page loads. Does this have a significance?
How can I turn scripting off?

To turn off scripting do the following:
In IE click Tools > Internet Options
Click the Security Tab, then the Custom Level at the bottom
Under Scripting, disable "Active Scripting" and "Scripting of Java Applets"

Use Crazy Browser or similar browser from www.crazybrowser.com
It has MDI feature and traps all pop up web pages!

But don't I need Java Applets for things like chat, etc?

Yeah, maybe - but what you could do is disable it for all sites, enable it in your Trusted Sites, then add only certain sites to your Trusted Sites to use the chat or whatever.

Thanks, I'll try that.
BTW, It happens only when I'm viewing vbforums. Could it be a sign?
