how can i change something somewhere within windows, that calls a function within my vb app before the PC disconnects (from the internet)?

ie: is there a DLL or something - or anything anywhere which I can edit so that when the PC decides to disconnect from the net, it calls a function from within my App (providing it's running) and once complete, it then disconnects from the internet?
