i want values of selected item frokm listbox

urgent please hurry up(simple question)i wnat values of item selected in listbox(<select name=yahoo type=list multiple>) after submnitting form
if i use count($yahoo) or sizeof($yahoo) if giving incorrect values
why it is happening.
