Do you have a Traffic Light icon in your systray? It should be running as a service..... Look for something along the lines of sqlwinadmin or something to that effect.

Perhaps run cmd.exe and type "mysql" (I've never used the Windows version of mysql, but I'd assume into comes with the same command line client as the Linux version).

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Nope, nope.
Perhaps a reinstall is in order.

OK! I have it here... the traffic light.
"Show me" opens up WinMYSQLAdmin 1.4
Now, I am to create the database here, correct? However, when I right click in the database screen, I only get "Flush Hosts" "Flush Logs" "Flush Tables" while I should be getting something like "Create db... etc"
Also, what is
mysqld-opt
mysqld-max
mysqld
??

That's exactly what I'm looking for. The reinstall won't work.
