War or not it is a classical case of scientists not worrying whether they SHOULD do something but simply wondering if they COULD do something.

To create something without thought for the consequences is the height of ignorance.


If someone came up with a way of creating a localized black hole tomorrow and the whole world suddenly got sucked into it wouldn't you wish that the person had enough foresight to think that making the thing might not be in the best interests of the world?
