Internet Gaming through VB
I'm considering of making a card game in Visual Basic. And the main reason for the game is so my friends and I can play online...
Does anybody know if this is a hard process to do? I don't want to be completley overwhelemed by work. If anybody has any experience with creating Internet games via Visual Basic please let me know! All thoughts and insights are appreciated

hey
ive had a lot of experience with internet based games
the hardest part of the game is getting the game to work - adding the internet part (multiplayer) is a lot easier - just replace 2nd player with internet
winsock isnt easy for beginners, but after playing around with it for a few weeks it'll be 2nd nature - i suggest you get some demo's off www.pscode.com to see how winsock works.
there's also a good tutorial which is part of VBOnline (as far as I know this is part of VB5Pro), and I have attatched an RTF version.
Good luck
p.s. it wouldnt let me upload the attatchment - mail me [email protected] if you want me to send it.
