I think that even if two computers are on LAN they should still each have their own IP, but i'm not sure. I know i have four on LAN and they have the same IP except for the last digit.

In our network at home we have four computers. We use a router out to the internett. And the router is attached to a swithc that sends the data to diffrent computers. Alle the computers hav the same IP adress out to the internet. But all the machines have dffrent IP adresses in the LAN. So the switch knows witch computer is witch...
