LAG, Syn sent?
My friend is on cable, his connection is laggy and doing netstat shows this: always on no matter what he has open, if anything:
TCP 68.80.155.179:1405 10.10.10.10:80 SYN_SENT
What does that mean and how to fix? I know about syn flood, 3way handshake and stuff, but not in detail

Well, if 10.10.10.10 has a firewall that "stealths" the ports, that would make sense. The computer sends the first SYN packet to initiate the TCP connection (1/3 of the three-way handshake), never gets a response and has to time out waiting.

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.
