Where did you here about VBF?
Please give as many details as possible on how you heard about VBF, and what makes you keep coming back?
Cheers all.
Regards,
Paul.

I got stuck at work a while back, and vbforums cropped up.
The main reasons I come back? Boredom & it's somewhere to escape from work for a bit

I come to office just so I can surf VBF all day at office expenses. Sometimes when I get too bored with VBF because there're no new posts, I try to do a bit of work in between

What no OTHER option?
Sheesh.......
I "found" it by mistake. I had been doing research on SQL Server and found dbForums.com..... so I thought, "I wonder if there's a vbForums....." So I puched it into my browser, and here I am.......

I used to go to the ASP101 forum for all my questions till I had one that stumped everyone... so I asked if there was another forum that someone suggested and someone (cannot remember their handle) suggested VBF. Been here ever since but slowly breaking away.
I'm off to GalahTech, hope to see you there.

what was the question that had them stumped M8?
Just curious...
Regards,
Paul.
P.S If you're looking to break away from VBF... try our forums. Technically driven, but also includes VB queries as well.

In 1999 I had a brain fart and decided to give vb webclasses a try. This was the only place I could find at the time with any one who had even tried to use them. I quickly figured out why no one was using them. I haven't used vb for quite a while but the natives here are usually restless and get into some good arguments so I stick around to dump fuel on the fire.

Stuck in the 80s
I honestly can't remember how I got here. I suspect aliens were involved, but the dreams don't tell me much.

My major company offered to buy vbF because we found it useful, but some other stupid ass company, not going to mention names, *cough*jupitermedia*cough* decided they would sneak in and buy it and cover it with stupid outrageous bullsquat. Now I am just going to make a large donation to the spam company of america and send you all large e-mails that will take years to download and destroy what is left of your pathetic little 56k lines. Blah! Seek shelter or thou shall be annihilated!

No offense to Galahtech, but the servers seem really slow. We are currently hosted with 2x dedicated 100MbIT connections, although it never really requires both
Maybe work on getting a .com domain, then it might be better for your site.

I think I was trying to make a javascript popup modal. But without using the modalwindow command cos that wouldent work w/the outerHTML and window.opener commands I needed to use... I eventualy got it figured out but in the future I'll prolly use a floating Iframe to give the MDI modal look.

I was searching some help with Vb. And I found it using a searching engine. I'm now 21years old, and have programmed in VB in 6years, but no one of my friends that I have ever met has developed in VB here in Norway. That is scary.
PS: OK I startet at enginering school this year and I met someone there, but no one in my class....

Monday Morning Lunatic
I came because I was doing VB at the time (March 2000). Now, however, I have put away childish things and spend most of my time in the C++ forum, if I ever *have* any time...
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".
