Resolution might have been changed.
Font size could've been changed from the Display settings.
RAM might be in use not letting the appropriate GDI functions to perform properly.

Hmmm just got off the phone with the client again.. I figured out that its only labels, checkboxes that have a transparent setting!!!
Now I'm really confused

it has to be a setting on his pc.. I've just contacted other clients and there app is working fine. I'm just wondering what setting could do this..

do what Shawn said and ask them to check not only resolution... but font size in the display settings.. maybe they set fonts to large fonts or something.. that messes everything up usually... more than a resolution change.. because developers usually don't take that into acct.. because most people don't ever change that stuff... but they do change resolution more often...

Formatting is a little to much for the user.. The only thing he uses a computer for is my software..
