    Internet thru cell phone

Here's the setup: A computer, with a modem, and a cell phone. If I connect the cellphone to the modem.

I have a simple question: when I set up the new "dial up connection," will I require any special software for this, or should the PC dialup just as if it were using a normal telephone?

Also, suppose a satellite phone is being used to dial up to an ISP in another country, say from Mongolia to an ISP in S.Korea... what are the implications of that?

If you can connect to the phone in that way then yes. For mine (Nokia 6210) and many others, there is a modem inside the phone - you need to install the driver on your computer to use it, then it is a normal modem (just slow!)

    Erm.. no idea!

In terms of costs you'd need to talk to the phone company; legally it would be the same as connecting via a land-line..

How do I connect a mobile phone to a computer??

I've usually seen only a charging plug can be fitted to a mobile phone? Then where should I attach the connecting cable (with PC)???

It depends on the phone - some are designed to not be able to, espeically the cheaper ones (eg: Nokia 3xxx series). I have a Nokia 6210, which has an extra connection on the bottom next to the charger socket.

If you can connect it (officially) then the cables to connect it should be in most mobile phone shops.

There are cables for other phones (eg: Nokia 3210) which can be found on the internet, but those phones will not have modems in (so you can only edit the phone numbers/text messages etc).
