    Many people lost their accounts in the great fandango of November '02. That is what is left of what they posted.

    Hmmm,
    well, I'm not certain its Dennis. {Actually, I see a specific name, and its not Dennis, but it'd be interesting if you do see dennis's name}

    8732 posts? Did he ever get that many?

    I've noticed my post count is different from that which comes in my "Find all posts by this user" page... Now, this happened last week so there must have been some other fandango going on... anyone has recently noticed any similar glitch?

    ... and after submitting this post I see the counter hasn't been updated. However, a previous post 10 minutes ago to the math forum worked fine.

    Another anomaly: I've edited the previous post but there's no sign of the "last edited..." thing.

    I think you get a 5 minute grace period before that shows up.

    I'm not sure why the 'edit by...' isn't showing. The time setting is at 3 minutes and hasn't been touched. After three minutes, if you edit, it should show.

    As to forum counts, this forum was set as on that doesn't count postings. Because feedback is good, I've gone ahead and flipped the switch to count posts in this forum going forward. If anyone is greatly opposed to counting posts in this forum, send me a private message with your reasoning.

    Thanks,

    Brad!

    Actually this was earlier than November. I believe"the great fandango" was in the June/July time frame (of '02').

    Regular back-ups should prevent a similar occurance in the future....

    Yeah, I remember Karl was in charge when the accounts were lost.

    Also Brad, people here have the tendency to post crap in the Forum Feedback too, so it would be better if the post count increased only for the other technical discussion forums.
