Women's group attacks reality show
Women's group attacks reality show
American TV's latest reality sensation Joe Millionaire has been condemned by one of the country's leading women's organisations for "trivialising love and marriage".
In Fox Television's creation, Evan Marriott is portrayed as a bachelor who has recently inherited $50m (£31m) and is looking for true love.
In reality Evan, aka Joe Millionaire, is a $19,000-a-year construction worker.
None of the women are aware of Evan's pauper-like status and truly believe that by capturing his heart they are guaranteed a fairytale life of luxury.
Robert Knight of Concerned Women for America told BBC News Online the show was "turning the viewer into a modern day Caesar giving the thumbs down to contestants".
He said: "The take-home message from this show is that it's okay to lie, to cheat and to mislead as long as its entertaining and we can make a lot of money out of it."
What do you reckon about this?
Personally, I don't feel sorry for the deception of women who are only going for this guy because they believe he's a millionaire hunk. If they're that shallow that the money is all important, they deserve all they get in my opinion.
Everything I say is either loose interpretation of dubious facts or idle speculation rooted in irrational sentiment.

I agree. They deserve to get whatever's coming.
Funny thing to note though, the leading women's group in the states needs a man as a spokesperson.

As with most reality TV really :
if anyone's stupid enough to watch it or participate in it, they deserve all the shite thrown at them.
As long as there's an audience these things will continue to exist. I generally make it a rule to stay way clear of it all

Look at this from later on in the article:
But Mr Knight, who is also the author of The Age of Consent; The Rise of Relativism and the Corruption of Popular Culture says that rather than promoting qualities that would foster healthy relationships, the show promotes base behaviour best left in the gutter.
Twats like this annoy me because they believe that society should be constantly ramming (their notion of) morality down everybody's throat.
Everything I say is either loose interpretation of dubious facts or idle speculation rooted in irrational sentiment.

How "real" are reality shows? take Big Brother,
throw a load of strangers in a house don't let them out and make
them do stupid tricks. this happens all the time in my house
As for the women, it's part of our make up to find partners with
particular traits. for women it's strong powerful men who can
provide for them and their offspring.
For men it's to find women who will most likely provide a healthy child.
Myself I hate of these types of show and refuse to watch them.

Who's dumber? The people that participate in the 'reality' shows? Or the people who watch the 'reality' shows? Or the people who conceive the idea for a 'reality' show?

Here a few highlights :
-A hot dog eating contest between a bear the world human hot dog eating champion(a 130 pounds asian guy). The bear won.
-A sprinter against a girafee and a zebra. He beat the girafee but not the zebra
-A sumo wrestler and a orangoutan(sp??) trying to pull each other in a pool of mud. The ape won.
-A group of midgets pulling an airplane against a elephant pulling an airplane. the elephant one.
-And much more stupid stuff.
And to answer any question that might come, I watched it because I like stupid show, it makes me laugh.

Yeah I saw the add for that show. And that guy can eat but he was no match against that kodiak bear, he was going 2 at a time while the bear was going like 4-5 at a time.
