Where do I find MDAC redist?

I have an application w/ an OLEDB (MS Jet 4.0) (VB.net)and I am not sure which MDAC components I need to include with the app. What do I need to give my clients in order for this app to run on their machine?

You can get MDAC from Microsoft here: Microsoft.com/Data

I recommend you get an installer like Wise to do all this stuff for you. I use InstallMaker (by Wise).

Thanks for your reply! Do you know which MDAC component I need to download? I know it needs to be at least 2.6. There is a 2.6 w/ service pack 1 & 2, a 2.6 RTM, a 2.7 RTM, Jet Components......, which one is the redistributable that is needed for my situation?

Nintendo_Wizard,

Never try to distribute the components of MDAC or Jet. Just tell the user to download the Latest version of MDAC & Jet Comp SP that your program will work with and have them install it on their machine.

No need for the extra installation headaches with this. Let Microsoft worry about that one!
