There was a 47K attachement. Sometimes it comes as an SCR file, sometimes as an EXE. Do these people really think we're going to run them?
I've been getting tons and tons of them. The messages range from free porn to the "love screensaver". Some people need lives

Once again, my anti-social nature defeats the latest advances in technology, and the latest attempts at social engineering.
Im probably in 4 or 5 people's email address books across the world. Heck, I had to go and ASK for someone to send me a copy of that ILOVEYOU(is that right?) thing...

I have found a way to stop all spam e-mails immediately!!!
Honestly...
You'll have to pay visit our forums to find out though... cause i'm not posting it here.
It seriously works, and there are no virus-riddled downloads and no come-back from who ever it is!
By law... A person or persons cannot release any information (personal of otherwise) unless given strict permission by the user(s). For instance...
I used to have hundreds of e-mails from 'Save More 5??25', which was a real pain... as the 'from' address kept changing. When the address is different each time, blocking them is difficult. Since sending my e-mail... i haven't heard anything else for weeks!
This is certainly not a con! We have finally beaten SPAM for good!

i have a solution that i'll post here... don't have e-mail... i use IM for everything, and a hotmail account that only a few select people know to recieve pertinent information when im not online... its easier that way

I just find a couple of keywords in a message, and turn on delete message from server... works a treat.

True...the fact that I get about 10 of those emails every day shows that people open them...
I don't know if the bug has harmful effects...but its entirely possible.
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

The only people who send me emails are the VBF and GalahTech emailer. There my best friends.

I've been using Mailwasher for a few months now and my spam input has reduced from a couple of hundred emails a day to les than 10. Hopefully this will eventually drop to even less.
I heartily recommend it - although it is banner ware, it is very unobtrusive and a small registration fee will remove it (as little as $3).
It allows you to block spam at the server, so you never have to download it and additionally bounces the mail so that the spammer is inclined to remove you from their list.

Check the MIME headers, and block the IP address. Simple as that.
