I would be interested in helping develop your webbrowser, i have checked it out and it is a good start but the user interface does need a facelift, with this i could help. I am a web / graphic designer so i could design buttons , backrounds , splash screens whatever you needed just let me know if you could use my help

Can u help me design a new set of icons for the back, forward,home,refresh,stop buttons? Also can u like help me draw out a new layout as in where should i place the address bar, progress bar, toolbar and stuffs. Also some programs commented that the moving icon/flash at the top right hand side looks sucky. Can you please do that for me too?

I noe this sounds like alot of request but i really do appriete you help very much. I only started Vb early this year during my school's computer course for only 10 lessons. I'm only a 14 year old student.

I only started to design icons when i work on this project. I sent screen sho of my browser to my friends and they commented that the browser should not look so plain... that's why i asked for help.

Btw, you may have noticed that it creates lots of external files. Those are actually the settings under the options menu and many others. I did not use getsettings cos i'm not comfortable wif them and it is easier for me this way... (Juz for your info)

Are the navigation buttons acutally icons or they just pictures, i can do it either way but i dont want to make it and then have it be uncompatable with the browser

do you have ne idea on what you want that flash animation to look like, if not i could come up with something but just wondering.

I will send you a picture of some new layout designs that would make the browser less plain as soon as i get done with the icons, the flash thingy and everything else :-)

heres a pic of the icons the way they would appear on the browser. It would be better if you put it on a white backround as follows because any other color the detail dosent show up to well:

The last three were just extras that i threw in but they dont have to be used. I will probably convert them to ICO's tonight sometime then i will email them to you ASAP

I tried coverting it to icon (16X16 256 colors) but it comes out very strange... I'm waiting for the icons now. Thanks alot. Can u design a new icon/animation for the earth at the top right hand corner too if u have time. Thanks a bunch.

Do They Have To Be Icons? It would be a whole lot easier if you just used sized pictures, and it would work the same way, is there any reason you want them as icons?

Don't really what u mean... If i use normal image then what background color?

I can make the backround color transparent so you can put it in a picture box but it will be the same color as the bar that the buttons are on. What do you think?

I juz need icons, then i place them in imagelist and then onto the toolbars. I would like the right hand side animation to be abit like that of IE's or maybe a stickman waliking with a globe at his head. What do u think?

that sounds like a plan, i will make the pictures transperent and send them soon, probably not today unless maybe it is late tonight then maybe tommorow , then i will start working on the flash animation

Sorry to announce that work on WSIE will be stopped. I thanks everyone who helped in out in one way or other. My dad disallow me to do programming due to the fact that it pulled down my grades last year. Also, school's reopening tml with lots of stupid and irritating projects, homework and research. How i wish i don't have to go to school it sux. Stress is big here in a top school. Guys, continue programming, stay cool and funky.

The last program i created is a combination of the 3 games i created in VB, Virtual Partner Dater (beta only), tic tac toe, and button clicker. It can be downloaded from my website at www.twk.2ya.com

YA!!! I got into computer club!!! However, as i'm having my O levels next year, i do not really have much time for programming.


Programmers Wanted Badly, especially those with good webbrowser.document. watever skills.

Becase WSIE seris 2 will have a new function: Allow user to add search engine website to the web browser data base.

For example, a user wants to add yahoo search engine to the database. The browser does something and puff!! Under the search engine options, yahoo could be selected and the user just type the keyowrd at the address bar, select the search engine and lets go!!

WSIE Seris 2 will not be called WSIE Seris 2. Anyone with suggestions for its new name?

WSIE Seris 2 will included many of the source code (thought of myself) and many others while some function such as tabbed interface, adult filter and many others will be removed as WSIE seris 2 is more for people who do lots of research.

I still don't get the point I think ...

is it a ocx or a program ?

I made some cool ocx'es specially designed for filling in website form-fields

with that I made lots of nice little programs like ... every time somebody showed up on MSN or ICQ or AOL (you name it) ... I received an SMS message on my mobile phone ... very cool :-D

It works with Winsock.
(I really love everything about winsock hehe )

you know when you're making a winsock program and you want to make several people connect to the same computer and only 1 port of that computer is known, then you always have to write that same boring stuff of loading new winsock objects and sending port numbers to eachother ... well I've made a very nice ocx for it and it works great !!!

but euhmz back to the webbrowser stuff ... is it an Active X object or a whole program ?

I got no lisence for winsock... I'm trying to steal out the school's copy of vb and install it on my comp so that i can use everything...

Btw, I decided to post the source code here.... Its not completed yet but have some very basic functions. Guys, you can codes from this incomplete browser for your own browsers or help me edit, improve, and addon to the current source and post it here... Than oh and, create a text file together with your name when u add the edited source here so that i can trace who have helped me in this... than maybe we post it on some download webpages... and compete with other browsers out there...

Also, the current browser is unnamed. Any suggestions?

I've currently developing a Software called Wicked's Developer suite. It consists of a autocomplete html editor, notepad clone and auto search engine.
