Really Need Help!
I am having an irritating problem with Visual Basic.
I try top load an ActiveX control and Visual Basic quits without a word. Reinstallation would make one set available while creating the same problem with other controls.
This also happens whenever I load a Project or Form that has an ActiveX control loaded.
Whenever I install Service Pack 3, it has the same affect as a reinstallation. HELP!!!!

Keeping both seems no problems... but while accessing components like ADO libraries...may resgisterration problem occurs. Better install vb6 and .net on different OS on same system..
thank you

I have had both versions of visual studio on my pc's for the past year or so without any problems accessing different libraries.
hito, is the control installed and registered on your pc properly? Is it a standard control which is meant to be accessed by developers / can be added into a project?

Well, the controls have been accesible before, but how do you register a control?
I mosly use Common Dialog and Direct Speech Synthesis. I also want to use the Internet Transfer control, but that problem is in the way.

In my home, VB is running fine but in my university where PCs are on LAN, I was getting the same problem while on each PC, there is VB and Visual Studio .NET. How the problem was resolved, I login in the PC with administrator account. I thought ActiveX dlls were allowed to add only entering through administrator login.

If the problem is solved, then let me know plz. Because this is what I saw, but not sure. If the same problem is solved using that technique, this means the solution is this.
