    online courses....

    hey guys

    i'm a bit of a vb guy, but not much C++ under my belt (yet)

    i'm looking for a good online course to take, be it free or pay a bit. i have a ton of free time at work, but having the sam's book at my desk is a lil much. anyone know or themselves teach an online course? thanx for the replies

    check out http://www.cplusplus.com they have some good stuff on there.

    i found some stuff on the home page of planetsourcecode, too. stupid me, if ya want a file or info, look to planetsourcecode! lol

    if anyone has good links (like the one john posted) please don't hold back.......i'm looking for all the info i can get....

    They develop a game in a 4 month session.

    Then there's IEEE.. FOr a membership fee they have 100+ CBT's (many in C++/MFC)

    sweet. are you thinking about taking that course? looking over it, it looks good.....but who knows what kind of teacer it will be. let me know if you are going to take it......i'm thinkin about it

    it doesn't have to be a game oriented class, or anything similar.......

    i'm looking to learn C++ complete. and like i said, unfortunately, i can't have a 'how to' book flopped on my desk while at work lol

    Yeah, I'm thinking about CPPNOW... But now I've got to go review gameinstitute.com (thanks for the post) to see.. that might be better as it is class by class in smaller chunks. They appear to have a lot to offer... Just when my mind was almost made up..<G>
