I have written a program to automatically mail to everyone in a database. I have one question that maybe doesn't have anything to do with vb but I was hoping one of you might now. I need to get a mailing list somewhere. Does anyone know where I can get a mailing list? I have a customer that wants to mail out to about 1000 people...... Any ideas? I have no idea where I could get 1000 email addresses.

My first instinct is to say "Just Don't Do It". But that is probably just me speaking to the fact that I hate getting mass unsolicited email. If you must do this, (and yes people, whether you like it or not, If someone paid me to do it and I was supporting my family on it, I would say it had to be done). Anyway, if you must, You should try to target your audience. I mean sending a single guy an email about baby items is kinda useless, sending a woman in California an email about a new Car Dealership that opened in New York will, again, likely fall on deaf ears. Once you select your target market you can look for lists. You can look on a search engine to find a e-mail list dealers. You should also be warned that using your personal email account to send out (SPAM) as it is unaffectionately referred to (or sending mass unsolicited email) can result in you loosing your account and even more serious trouble. I think legally, you have to put at the bottom of the email a link or method by which the recipeint can remove themselves from the list. Not sure about that but I think so.
