Dual b3wt Linux/XP 2 harddrives
I currently have a HD with XP on it, I have another HD with Redhat installed, Its not connected to any machine atm, how would I dual boot both OS's on my current XP box? I do not want to use a boot disc? I heard you HAVE to with XP, do I? Also- Can someone explain what Raid is? Raid 0..etc

you can't boot if they're on separate drives (unless you RAID them, which is really a separate argument........)

RAID stands for Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks. Basically, its one of many methods that utilize several hard disks to store data safely.
For example, Raid 0 is striping, where data is written across the disk volumes in a stripe, along with a checksum, so that in case of any error, the data can be retrieved using that checksum.
Raid 1 is mirroring, where the data is written simultaneously to all the disks.

I believe grub can dual-boot them. You can specify hd(1,0) to access the first partition on the 2nd drive.

Fine, If I cant dual boot them, how would I just use the HD with XP? so if I go to my computer, it shows 2 HD's, I just plug it in to slave? Do I need to format or anything?

That's just some Unix desktop environment. It could look the same whether you were using GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris, whatever

Ok I got the monitor to work, at first I changed res and it "froze" as it was probing but when I rebooted the res was changed anyway, so everything is good now, thanks.
