nokia 3310 and VB

is there a way to make an application that can connect to a nokia phone (3310 in my case) with a datacable? i have seen application that were made in VB that can do it. but i cant find any source codes

Don't know if you have already solved your problem with the 3310, but recently I have been wanting to do the same thing and apparently it's not possible.

If you want to do it to send and receive SMS then I have found some software which will work, but officially it wont send and recieve SMS since it doesnt have a GSM modem inside.

If it's just for sending SMS and logos, then you can get LogoManager to do this for you and it should connect on an RS232 port for you.

I am not sure about nokia but i know you can send messages to a pager using Collaborative Data Objects (CDO). May be you can experiment with it a little bit and try to make it work with cell. Go to www.microsoft.com and just search for pager. It will give you the example for sending messages to pager using CDO.
