    Networksolutions.com

    (This is unrelated to my other question)

    I believe it's possible to change nameservers and other information about your website from networksolutions.com, because they're the original retailer of websites. Am I correct? Can anyone direct me to that place?

    Have you registered your domain name through NetSol. Only then you will have an account with them.

    Previously, whenever I've wanted to change nameservers, I would change it at my domain registrar, after which, networksolutions.com would send me an email, asking me to reply "Y" to the email if I wanted the changes to take effect.

    Has nobody else here ever gone through such a thing?

    Not true, they do provide a way to "login" w/o being a NetSol customer.

    mendhak - if that's worked in the past, why change it? It seems to work.... or are you looking for something faster/easier.

    I went to http://www.netsol.com clicked on the "Account Manager" tab, then in the second section, it says: "No Account Number
    If you do not have an Account Number and Password, enter your domain name here."
    Underneath that, there is also a link for the "Advanced DNS Manager".... may want to take a look at that too.....

    techgnome What I was speaking about was that if you have registered with other Registrars like "Enom", "GoDaddy" etc. then you wouldn't be able to modify your details from NetSol. In that case, NetSol is simply a central repository. NetSol can only give access for domain names booked directly through it, or through one of its resellers.

    And I just checked the netsol site with a domain name that I booked through one of its resellers. It still asks me for a login, so that effectively rules out changing DNS setting through NetSol, unless there is another way out.
