    digitise video clips

    I have a client who wants to add video clips to his website. He has a video and a dvd. What do I need to get them off the video/dvd and make them into short avi/mpegs?
    How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

    OK, I'm getting the DVD.
    I've never ripped a DVD before so could someone point me in the right direction?
