    Please help! Wierd Monitor problem

    Hey...
my monitor is acting up lately.
at least I think it's the monitor.
    It's sometimes yellow, sometimes green,
    and only sometimes normal.

    Can someone PLEASE help??
    I've tried asking numerous pple,
but can never seem to get a straightfoward answer.

Your monitor needs to be degaussed. Look for a degauss button or option on your monitor controls. If its not there, turn your monitor off manually using its switch, and leave it like this for a couple hours.

    Could well be...

It could be degaussing.. although it also could be a dry joint! Is it positioned next to a source of heat?

Usually, tapping a monitor on either side will temporarily solve a dry joint, although it's probably easier to have it fixed by a pro.

This is very unusual though, so i'de check the degauss first.

    Regards,

    Paul.

I have one that is all blueish most of the time but if I apply pressure to the monitor cable in the back of the monitor it is fine (I have it rigged w/rubberbands now... ver hi-tech)
I'm off to GalahTech, hope to see you there.

Good luck... it's always worked for me. I don't have a degauss either.
