    I see...
    I think you missed the point - let me explain.

    In IE - example shown - the "back" button has a greater width (width=approx 40?) than the "stop" and "refresh" buttons (width=approx 18?) - which contain icons only and no text.



    In my app, the "New" button is exactly the same size as the un-named button next to it. I would like the "New" button to retain its width so that the text "New" is displayed, whilst the second button I would like to have a width of about 18, so that there isn't a blank space to the right of the icon.



    Please note, I do not require code to centre the second icon on the button to reduce the space to the right!
