    Compact

    Hi i was wondering if i can do this in VB i have an access database called SPS.Mdb in c:\SPS\SPS.mdb what i want to do is when a user presses command1 i want vb to copy and compact and rename it with todays date (e.g 12December2002) the database then place the database in a folder called SPSBackup in c:\SPS\BackUp.

    Can you help

    This code from www.mvps.org Dev Ashish's site will compact Access 97 - see the site for more info
