    Publishing .Net Web Applications

    Hey,

in the opinion of all the developers on this forum, what is the best method to publish a .Net web application?

Is there a really simple way to do it? Line in Frontpage for example, you simply press the Publish Web button and, hey presto, all pages are added/removed from the host server on the web. To my knowledge, I can't find this in .Net.

Currently all I am doing is FTP-ing the built web to the server, but each time I do this, I swear that there must be a better way.

How do you guys do it?

    Cheers,

    stingrae

I prefer FTP myself. Mainly becasue its what I have used for years and FrontPage and VS .NET create and upload stuff I dont need, so FTP gives me more control on what to upload.

    Unhappy

when i publish my web with FTP, things such as html webforms don't work. do i need to send any other files with them?

I have had to FTP my site up because for some reason when I go Project, Copy Project within VB.Net, it doesn't accept my user name or password. I am using Windows XP Professional and suspect that it has something to do with this, because it continually puts the name of my PC before my user name - even though i keep removing it.

    aaaaahhhhh..... help please......
