Watch out though, 3DFX cards all have a 256x256 texture size limit.

Yeah, if a game uses a texture larger then 256x256 pixels, the 3dfx cards will choke and die.

V3s can't run 32 bit either.
Althouhg if your'e running 32 bit on either of those cards its going to be death anyhow

3dfx was taken over by Nvidia I think so you're not going to get any updated drivers or bug fixes if you get this card, though I'd say it's better than the TNT card.
I'd get yerself a cheap old GeForce card, even a geForce2 one runs quake etc without a problem & it's not too dear...

Anna's dad bought a Radeon 9700 bundle, so we inherited his old Geforce3.
