gg router. How do I MANUALLY set DCHP?

Recently, my LinkSys BFSR41 has been acting up. On boot, my PC has no internet connection, I need to rePlug the router in and then reboot.

I am using it with RR cable and 2 computers, win98se and XPpro. the router's firmware is 1.39, the new one isnt as stable, I lag out in games, no fix so far but the 1.39 reduce the lagging out. anyway,

Sometimes my IP goes to 192.168.1.126, but it shouldnt go over 101 because their is only 2 computers on the network, 100 and 101. Also I sometimes get IP conflicts on boot. I want to manually set the local IP's, how would I go about doing so?

    Here's How

Right Click On Network Neighborhood, and select properties from the drop down menu. You should see a list of protocols and connection devices. Find the TCP-IP portion, and locate the description of the physical device you are connecting through. Double click on it, and go to the IP Address tab. The rest should be explanatory.

Hint: Make sure the subnet mask is the same for the entire network, or it won't work right (or at all)
