    Run

    I have windows 98 second edition

    And when i click Start>run>something
    it gives me error dllfolder32.exe missing

    could you please tell me what to do?

    hmm...

    Thats a new one ! lol

    Can someone tell me why every fault in these forums is put down to a virus??? It's stupid. The amount of viruses the everyday user receives are very few and far between.

    I've had a look at Microsoft Focus, and they haven't come across that either, or it hasn't been posted yet!

    The only thing i can think of, is a package has been installed and then un-installed, possibly taking the file with it? Or, dare I say it... a virus. Run Norton AntiVirus 2003 through, and see if it picks anything up.

    If you have another system with Win98SE, search for the file in DOS, not windows (it may be a hidden, archive file). Run an MSDOS Prompt, and type...

    CD \
    dir dllfolder32.exe /s

    It may be in \windows\command or system32, so take a look. If you bare with me, i'll do a temp install on the server and search for it there...
