64 bit
On the same box will VB6 apps run faster with Windows XP 64 bit (compared to 32 bit)?
Or does it require dot net to take advantage of this?

You wont see any difference. VB6 is not a 64 bit application. neither is the .NET framework(yet!)

Thanks,
I just noticed it available for subscriber download today and I am getting ready to install an OS on a new laptop.
I guess I will go with the 64 bit version anyway ... probably cant hurt ...

umm dude... vb6 (unless specifically compiled) will not run on windows 64 bit. Unless your laptop is one of those sparc 64 bit laptops, i doubt you will be able to install a 64 bit version of windows on it. 64 bit = 64 bit processors, their VERY expensive.
BWT.... i believe this is correct, but clarify me if i'm wrong.

whoa!!!! seriously??
Windows95 didnt need a special processor when it took us from 16 to 32 bits ...
I check up on that since you dont seem certain.
