If you are doing a project for someone that wants the XP look... then you must give them the XP style.

I like some of the styling of XP...it is a different look. But my functionality comes above all.

If they want the XP look, tell them to install XP. Or WindowBlinds..... but making your app look all "pretty" (crappy) won't do a d@mn bit of good if it doesn't freekin work. I know of a commercial app where this happened. They concentrated so hard on the touchy fely GUI that the back end and the inner workings of it were pure crap. I could have produced some thing better in my spare time. The project was nearly a year late hitting the shelves, delivered on only 25% of promised functionality.... turned out to be a major eye sore and all around piece of junk no one ended up wanting.
