New video card
I'm getting a new video card, but I'm not sure which one to buy. Any suggestions? It must be able to run the latest games (e.g SoF2).
I was thinking about getting Club3D ATI Radeon 9000 LE 64DDR DVI, what's your opinion about that one?
Thanks!

That's a great choice, however I would like to bring up some points... A GF4 costs nearly the same and in lots of cases has as much as a 150% speed increase from the R9000 (from memory). The R9000 is a perfectly capapble chip, but the R9000 Pro is what you really want to get (resembles an R8500 rather than an R7500). And, I'd be wary about buying from relatively unknowns (Club3D? Never heard of them..)

Wait and get GeforceFX, or just get a Geforce 4 Ti4400. ATI 9700Pro sucks, so don't bother touching it.

1. The GeforceFX is about 4 months away, and even then its going to be really really expensive.
2. The Ti4200s o/c to near 4600 speeds for much cheaper. The Albatron 4200Turbo goes above 4600 speeds.
3. Its the fastest card on the planet and whomps any currently available card. How does it suck? (aside from price but you're suggesting nv30?)
If this guy is looking at a R9000 64MB, he's probbaly not going to consider shelling out loads of cash.
Kings: Currently a Ti4200 would be nice. The Radeon 9000 pros are alright, but nothing to get excited about. a 8500LE128MB is just as fast and cheaper (but no DX9..)
If you want to wait a little bit then maybe a 9500Pro would suit you?

You're not the first one to recommend me to get a 8500LE128MB, so I'll probably get that one.
And I'm afraid waiting is not an option, because I'm going to a computer fare (or whatever it is in English) which means I can probably get it cheaper.
Anyway, Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it.

The GeForce4 series outperforms the 8500.
I'd suggest a ti4200, or ti4400.
The ti4200 gaindward (3.5 ns DDR ram), 64 MB, which you could easily OC the memory because of the RAM used, is pretty nicely priced.
The radeon 9000 is slower than the 8500.
Keep that in mind.

My GeForce3 Ti200 runs SoF2 fairly nicely at high resolutions. It cost me about $120 about 7 or 8 months ago, so you can probably pick one of them up for under $100 now.

Oh, no... The GF4 Ti series does! The GF4MX series acts more like an underpowered GF3

Like I said, the MX series isn't a 'true' GF4. Based on the transistor count and features it's more of an overpowered GeForce2, and thus isn't as future-proof as the GF4 Ti line is.

The GeForce4 MX is only DX7-capable, and won't play well (no pun intended) with newer games like UT2003 or Doom 3.
You would have quite frankly been better off with the 9000 Pro...
By the way Siyan...the 9000 Pro is an R200-based part and does NOT have DX9 support.

Prog_Tom, GIVE IT UP. Nobody cares about how you have the best graphics card, the best CPU, or whatever else you claim to have. It doesn't matter that he got a GF4MX. He's happy with the performance and happy with the price he got it for. So leave him be!
